Our Story
From side project to infrastructure platform
2021 - The Beginning
3 years agoStarted as RibbonsXP—a side project to help Nigerian companies send spa experiences to employees. We quickly learned that the real problem wasn't the product, it was the infrastructure.
2022 - Expanding Coverage
2 years agoExpanded to Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. Built relationships with 1,000+ spa vendors. Realized that choice-based gift cards had better economics than fixed experiences.
2023 - Product Evolution
1 year agoLaunched category-based choice cards (coffee, wine, fashion) specifically designed for African markets. Processed $50K in the first 6 months. Proved the model works.
2024 - API-First Rebuild
This YearRebuilt the entire platform as API-first infrastructure. Enterprise customers don't want a dashboard—they want to embed gifting into their existing platforms. First major integration: Merit Incentives.
2026 - Scaling Infrastructure
NowExpanding to Iraq and UAE. Building white-label solutions for major rewards platforms. Focus: become the Stripe of gifting for Africa and the Middle East.
