About the role
RibiRewards helps businesses deliver rewards, gifts, merchandise and experiences across African markets. Our platform provides access to local products, gift cards and experiences, supported by local supplier and fulfilment networks.
We are expanding our operations in South Africa and are looking for a hands-on Fulfilment & Operations Specialist to manage local orders from the point they are received through to successful delivery.
This is a hands-on operational role. When an order comes in, you own it until it is successfully fulfilled.
What you'll be doing
- Receive and review new customer and reward orders.
- Confirm product availability with the relevant supplier.
- Place or coordinate orders with local suppliers and merchants.
- Arrange collection and last-mile delivery to recipients.
- Coordinate recipient delivery details where required.
- Track every order from receipt through to successful delivery.
- Keep order and fulfilment statuses updated in our internal systems.
- Resolve unavailable products, substitutions, delayed deliveries and incorrect orders.
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and delivery partners.
- Coordinate restaurant, spa and other experience bookings where required.
- Keep receipts, supplier invoices and fulfilment records organised.
- Reconcile completed orders against supplier costs and payments.
- Report recurring supplier, stock or delivery problems to the wider RibiRewards team.
- Help identify reliable new suppliers and fulfilment partners as the local operation grows.
What we're looking for
Experience in e-commerce, logistics, procurement, retail operations, customer operations or fulfilment would be useful, but practical ability and reliability matter more to us than a particular job title.
- Extremely organised, responsive and dependable.
- Strong knowledge of the local market and operating environment.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and online systems.
- Reliable internet and phone access.
- Comfortable dealing directly with suppliers, merchants and logistics providers.
- Able to manage multiple orders simultaneously without losing track of details.
- Proactive and practical when something goes wrong.
- Strong communication skills in English.
What success looks like
Order received → supplier coordinated → order fulfilled → customer receives their reward → records updated.
We care about fulfilment speed, order accuracy, successful delivery rate, supplier responsiveness, proper record keeping and how effectively problems are resolved.
Contract
This is a contract role as we scale our South Africa operations. There is potential for the role to continue depending on business requirements and performance.
