Birthdays and upcoming events then show up directly on the Calendar, each with a suggested RewardsCard ready to send.

Why this matters more than it sounds

The actual failure mode in most manual recognition processes is not malice, it is simply drift — the spreadsheet gets out of date, someone leaves the company and their birthday still triggers a reminder, a new hire's details never get added because nobody remembered to. Termination handling works the same way in reverse: if someone no longer appears in your PaySpace data, their record deactivates immediately rather than continuing to trigger reminders for someone who no longer works there.

Birthday-triggered gifting is fully live. Work anniversary and department-based sending are in active development — that data lives in a different part of PaySpace's API and needs its own extraction process, so it is being built as a genuinely separate phase rather than promised ahead of being real.
